“Interested to come to the US? Getting a visa is not easy, especially if you are based in some parts of Europe, as there are good options to get a ‘visum usa-ESTA’ online ”

San Francisco has a reputation for being one of the truly ‘fun’ places in America. It is a LGBT paradise, a haven for foodies and culture lovers alike plus it is one of the prettiest places in the world. But there isn’t much appeal for kids in San Francisco or so the story goes. The city is pretty cold, with Mark Twain famously quipping that the coldest winter he ever experienced was a summer in San Francisco and most of its attractions like bars and museums are targeted at a more adult population. This is, however a misconception. There are plenty of wonderful things to do in San Francisco, kids activities not being amongst the least interesting. You can also visit http://www.surpriselists.com for all the latest top 10 tips.

The first thing to discuss if you’re going to San Francisco is whether you would rather spend more time in the city or in the surrounding North California countryside. If you’d like to do the latter and visit things like Monterrey Bay or maybe chancing a drive to Yosemite, perhaps staying at one of several San Francisco Airport hotels might be better for your budget. If you want to visit the town and take advantage of all it has to offer Nob Hill or Russian Hill might be better suited. In any case here are several things to do with the kids while in town.

1. Aquarium of the Bay

Aquarium-of-the-Bay

Located at the Embarcadero, on pier 39, the Aquarium of the Bay is the second best aquarium on the whole west coast, after the Monterrey Bay one. It is the best San Francisco kids museum and offers a wide variety of information about the flora and fauna of the bay, the life cycles of different species and even feeding shows and all sorts of spectacular things for the little ones to enjoy. Once you take all the local underwater wildlife in, go outside to see wild Sea Lions playing around in the water near pier 35!

2. Cable Car Ride

San Francisco Cable Car

The San Francisco cable cars are the last survivors of what was once a vast public transport system. Today they are a tourist attraction that everybody can enjoy. Little kids and big kids alike live the thrills of riding in a boneshaking open-air cable car and San Francisco’s hills make the ride so much more enjoyable.

3. The Muir Woods National Monument

Muir Woods

First established by none other than Teddy Roosevelt, this grove of centuries old Redwoods is a fantastic site for everybody to enjoy. Not only do you walk amongst the roots of beautiful old trees taller than most buildings but you also have to cross the majestic Golden Gate Bridge to get there.

So don’t be afraid of taking your kids along to San Francisco. This liberal paradise is a great city for the whole family to enjoy.
